The brief.

La Prep was known for its daily fresh food and green visual identity, but the perception didn’t align with reality. Customers expected a healthy-only menu and were surprised by indulgent items like desserts and baked goods. Meanwhile, the brand was evolving: expanding into new markets, rethinking interiors, and moving toward a more communal, social experience.

Objective

What we set out to do.

To reposition La Prep as a modern, chef-driven bistro that embraces both health and indulgence, without losing its loyal urban office crowd. The challenge was to resolve the brand’s internal contradictions and reflect its true spirit: fresh, social, satisfying.

Solution

How it came together.

We developed the new positioning around a powerful insight: balance is everything. Whether it’s a salad today and a cookie tomorrow, or a quick solo lunch and a lingering chat with colleagues, La Prep empowers customers to “Find Your Balance.” Visually, we introduced a bold black and white pattern inspired by European bistro interiors; timeless, stylish, and versatile. The original green logo was retained to signal freshness, while the visual identity was extended across packaging, in-store experience, and even branded retail products like mints and candies. It wasn’t just a rebrand. It was a reintroduction of a brand that knows life isn’t either/or, it’s both.

Since the rebrand in 2020, I’ve continued to serve as a strategic brand growth partner for La Prep, overseeing the evolution of their brand image and crafting ongoing campaigns that support their expansion, maintain consistency, and keep the brand relevant in a fast-changing food landscape.
